Shreddies – Flatulence Filtering Underwear

UK-based clothing company Shreddies has created a line of men’s and women’s underwear, pajamas and jeans that use a carbon back panel to absorb any and all flatulence odors, a.k.a. mega-farts.

After rigorous testing and findings from research by De Montfort University, the fabric “was found to remove sulphide and ethyl mercaptan so effectively that it can filter odors 200 times the strength of the average flatus emission.”

The odor vapors are trapped and neutralized by the cloth, according to the brand’s website.

While the jeans are a little pricey at £100 (about $150), the underwear collection is affordable at around £10-15.

Shreddies also suggests its items “offer the perfect solution to treat flatulence issues caused by IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), Gastritis, Crohn’s disease, Dyspepsia.”
