The first part of yesterday’s program was to discover the animal scents.
We learned about their role in perfumery and what effect they have on people. Animalic scents give a tri-dimensional effect to perfumes by playing with human pheromones, according to Salaam.
In the afternoon we created a tincture with real muskrat glands and discovered the stupefying smell of the fresh tincture a few hours later.
We then used the animal tinctures of the kit of animal scents to see how they would change the custom perfumes that we have bottled the day before… and yes, they did change!
