I already wrote about the Belgian artist Peter De Cupere, who is well-known for his smelling art installations.

Another project of his is the SMOKE CLOUD. The idea behind this smelling installation is that people tend to like being in a cloud.


But then instead of fresh air (which you would expect), you smelled smoke and pollution once you were up in the cloud.
Visitors could actually step up the ladder and have a live sniff.


Nice visitor pictures were made, which created a big viral buzz!

The exhibition took place in Enschede, NL, in a solo-exhibition called: The Art of Smelling, Olfactory Art Research, Jan – March 2014
